Have your children participated in our Summer Playground Program—this year or in the past? We'd love to hear from you!
We're asking families to complete a short survey to help us evaluate the program and plan for the future. Your feedback will help us identify what's working well, where we can improve, and whether there's interest in extending the daily hours or the length of the program.
Whether your child attended this summer, participated in previous years, or has since aged out of the program, your input is important.
Please take a few minutes to complete the survey here:
https://www.salisburylehighpa.gov/forms/salisbury-township-summer-playground-program-survey
Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We appreciate your input and look forward to hearing from you!

Participants in our Summer Playground Program enjoyed a day of games, activities, and fun with friends.
Thank you to our Recreation staff and all of the families who participated in this year’s program. We appreciate everyone who helped make the summer a great one!
Take a look at some highlights from the day. 📸
You may have noticed new stop signs at intersection of the I-78 Summit Lawn exit ramp and W. Rock Road, as well as temporary signage at the entrance and exit ramps.
PennDOT recently installed the additional stop signs, creating a four-way stop at the intersection. After evaluating the location, PennDOT determined that sight distance is inadequate because of the sound barrier, and the four-way stop is intended to improve safety for motorists.
The stop signs will be uncovered and become effective on Monday. Please watch for the new traffic pattern and use extra caution as drivers adjust to the change.
In addition, PennDOT has informed the Township that ramp construction at the Summit Lawn interchange is scheduled to begin later in August. The Township will receive advance notice before work starts, and we'll share additional details with residents as soon as they become available.
Thank you for your patience!
Salisbury Township's road improvement program continues!
Paving is scheduled for Savercool Avenue on Tuesday, July 21, beginning at 6:30 a.m.
Residents are asked to:
🚗 Move all vehicles off the street before work begins.
⏳ Expect temporary traffic delays and limited access while paving is underway.
🚧 Follow all posted signs and directions from the work crews for everyone's safety.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our Township roads.

💦 A huge thank you to everyone who joined us at our Cool Down Event last night! It was wonderful to see so many families come out to beat the heat and enjoy a fun evening together.
We'd also like to thank Eastern Salisbury Fire Department, Western Salisbury Volunteer Fire Company and the Salisbury Township School District for helping make this event possible. Your partnership and dedication to our community are greatly appreciated!
With the heat expected to continue over the next few days, please remember to take precautions to keep yourself and your loved ones safe:
☀️ Drink plenty of water—even if you don't feel thirsty.
🌳 Limit outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day (typically 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.).
❄️ Spend time in air-conditioned buildings whenever possible.
👕 Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing and sunscreen when outdoors.
🚗 Never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle.
👵 Check in on elderly neighbors, family members, and anyone who may be more vulnerable to extreme heat.
🐾 Make sure pets have plenty of fresh water and a cool place to rest.
Stay safe, stay hydrated, and we hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday weekend!

Join Salisbury Township, in coordination with the Eastern and Western Salisbury Fire Departments, for a Cool Down Event on Wednesday, July 1, from 5:00–7:00 p.m. at Salisbury Middle School, 3301 Devonshire Road.
Bring the family, cool off, and enjoy a refreshing evening with our local firefighters as they help everyone beat the summer heat!
A special thank you to the Salisbury Township School District for generously allowing us to use the school for this community event.
We hope to see you there! ☀️🚒💧

With the hot temperatures sticking around, we'll be turning on the sprinkler at Lindberg Park on **Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday** from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
We can't control the weather, but we can help make it a little more fun! See you at the park! ☀️💦

⚠️ TRAFFIC ALERT ⚠️

➡️ Eastbound traffic will be detoured to Lehigh Avenue.
⬅️ Westbound traffic (heading toward Allentown) will remain open, but motorists should use caution when traveling through the area.
Please expect delays and allow extra travel time. We appreciate your patience while repairs are completed.
